OKAY soooo this place saved Pickering... literally saved us 'residents' from having starbucks as our only real coffee shop option.
Heaffles is a European coffee and waffle bar that makes fresh gelato- Sign me up! They are still fairly new but let me tell you how this place is next level (for Durham Region LOL) on decor and customer experience.
I'm not going to lie, pre-covid I was here A LOT... I brought my family, friends and even did a lot of my work from here. Every single person that I have brought with me had nothing but amazing things to say about this place. I even notice that they go without me after(I see you #stalker vibz)
The best thing about Heaffles is that it brought a level of customer service and attention to detail that the region has never seen before.
They really care a lot about making the customer feel special and do a lot to offer the best customer experience possible. They put your name on your waffles- genius!) Did I mention that Heaffles is family owned and operated as well? I have nothing but great things to say about their waffles and coffee.
Unfortunately due to the strict COVID restrictions and the number of people allowed inside they have decided to shut down indoor dining until Durham Region gets out of the 'RED ZONE' . I feel like someone gave me a gift but then came and took it back. LOL
Every day I wake up and check if maybe they decided to open (please opeeennnnnn lolol) because working from home is getting hard and Durham Region is lacking other options (I'm not driving to Oshawa for coffee- that's 20min).
You can still stop by and grab your coffee or gelato to go for now. I will keep you updated on Instagram stories if they open up indoor dining again because I will be there daily for my usual spread.
